Intro Course
If you are new to the sport then this is the course for you. In our Intro Course we will discuss the basics of kiteboarding and kite flying. You will learn about Wind Awareness, the Wind Window, and Power Strokes. You will also learn to fly a trainer kite, flying the kite in figure 8’s, flying blind, and performing power strokes. In the case of no wind you will learn to set up a Leading Edge Inflatable (LEI) Kite, moving you ahead into our Kite Skills Course. Buy Lesson $150
Kite Skills
The Kite Skills Course will transition your abilities with the kite on land into the water! You will become familiar with flying and handling the larger Leading Edge Inflatable (LEI) kite. You will learn the set-up, landing and launching techniques, and power control of the LEI. This course will also cover self-rescue techniques and relaunching the kite in the water. Finally, you will perform your first powered body drags. After this you will be ready for our Water Course. Buy Lesson $150
Water Course
This is where it all comes together. The Water Course will continue to develop your kite skills in the water, and get you up on the board. You will learn to control speed and direction by body dragging with the kite. You will learn upwind body drags, body dragging with the board, and board starts. We will also cover many safety techniques that will help you progress as a self-sufficient kiteboarder. Buy Lesson $150
“All Out” Course
This course is designed for the person who wants to go “All Out”. All of the courses are combined into a 6-hour lesson that can be completed in one day (weather permitting). You will also receive a free PASA Level 1 Certification ($50 value) that includes, $20.00 off an iKitesurf.com membership, a free year subscription to SBC Kiteboarding magazine, a PASA membership card, and online support. The Next Step
If you are just getting up and riding, then developing your board skills with the kite is the Next Step. This intermediate level course is designed for riders who want to learn maneuvers such as basic transitions, riding toeside, and riding upwind. You will also learn techniques to control your riding speed and endurance with advanced kite and board handling. At the end of this course, you will become a PASA Certified Level 2 kiteboarder, allowing you to rent gear at qualified kiteboarding centers. Buy Lesson $150
Advanced Skills
In our Advanced Skills Course you will become a fully self-sufficient kiteboarder. For example, allowing you to spend more time on the water, and less time worrying about who’s going to launch and land your kite. You’ll learn self-launch and self-landing techniques, advanced water re-launches, kite tuning techniques for various wind conditions, powered turns and transitions, and basic jumps. At the end of this course, you will become a PASA Certified Level 3 kiteboarder. Buy Lesson $150
“Kite or Die!”
