Free Introduction Class For Women!

All Out Kiteboarding is offering a Free! “introduction to kiteboarding” class for women of all ages! The class will be held this Saturday, December 19th, at 10a.m. During this class we will teach you all about the wind, the gear, and how to fly a trainer kite or setup the larger inflatable kite. Click here to learn more about our lessons.

The class will meet at our shop, “The Kite Shack”, and then we will head out to the beach for some kite flying or kite setup. Our shop is located in the Tybee Oaks shopping center by Huckapoos. Click here to get directions.

Dress according to the weather since we will most likely be outside on the beach and hopefully in the wind. You will not be getting into the water during this first class since it is only an introduction to our sport so you do not have to bring a swimsuit.

Call us for more information and to put in your reservation! 912-786-8080.

iKitesurf Wind Sensor

iKitesurf Wind Sensor

We’re Getting A Sensor!

With the help of local Tybee Island kiters, A.O.K and members of Weatherflow, an iKitesurf wind sensor will be installed at the north and south end of Tybee Island next week.

The installation of a wind sensor on Tybee will allow kiters who don’t live on the island to actually “see” what the wind is doing. This will save a lot of local kiters time and money spent on gas.   If you’re a kiter who lives in downtown Savannah you know exactly how frustrating it can get to drive all the way out to Tybee and find that there is NO WIND!

If you are unfamiliar with iKitesurf, it is an online source to view real time wind data such as wind reports, wind archives, forecast and more.   If you’d like more information on iKitesurf, visit this link ikitesurf.com

The sensor is planned to be installed this Tuesday, May 26, 2009.  Anyone who signed up will have full access to the sensor and all the features on ikitesurf.  Thanks to everyone who helped us get this sensor installed!
